LM® LLLT is a gentle light therapy developed by NASA that helps treat Dry Eye Disease. It uses special LED light to warm your eyelids, which helps to unclog and activate glands that produce the oils needed for healthy tears.
It warms the Meibomian glands in your eyelids, helping them release the oils that keep your tears from drying up too quickly. This can reduce your dry eye symptoms.
You might start feeling better within a few hours after your treatment. For lasting relief, you may need 1 to 4 sessions, depending on how severe your dry eye is.
Most people need between 1 and 4 treatments. These are usually spaced out over 5 to 10 days to get the best results.
LM® LLLT is very safe with no major side effects. You can return to your usual activities right after the treatment.
It’s ideal for people with Dry Eye Disease caused by blocked or not functioning Meibomian glands. If you have symptoms like redness, burning, itching, frequent styes, chalazion or discomfort in your eyes, this treatment might be right for you.
A doctor can diagnose Dry Eye Disease using special tests. It’s best to avoid self-diagnosing or using over-the-counter treatments.
Talk to your eye care specialist to find out if LM® LLLT is suitable for you and to get information on where you can receive this treatment.
